Thursday's Child

"Monday's child is fair of face.
Tuesday's child is full of grace.
Wednesday's child is full of woe.
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving.
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child who is born on the Sabbath Day
Is bonny and blithe and good and gay."
Monday, my long awaited international customs envelopes were delivered. I worked on the Zen Collection patterns (enough so I knew the required yardage for each) and ordered my yarn accordingly.

And both the patterns and the postman (thank you! thank you!) who delivered my customs forms are fair of face...

Tuesday I needed to take the day off (GASP!) in order to tend to urgent family needs.

As we all know, love is essential to the giving and accepting of grace. Grace is more than something God gives to us. It is something we pass on to all the lucky people in our lives.

But Wednesday wasn't full of woe; it was a day that flew by in writing up the pattern for Sprout and posting it to all the appropriate places.

Then, last night, the woe manifested itself. Once again, I had trouble accessing DH's printer. Seems my laptop was out of the loop.

So DH fixed the problem last night. And today - Thursday - I sat down to finally print my shipping labels for this week's shipment of sock yarn and, more importantly, the long delayed Canadian orders, and discovered...

The printer is out of ink.

Are you sure it isn't Wednesday?

Really sure?

I am officially on the record. I want my own printer. I am sick and tired of coping with a temperamental diva of a machine that finds my laptop not worthy of recognition.

Thursday's child has far to go...

Orders out tomorrow.

If I have to wrestle the damn printer to the ground and hold a loaded ink cartridge to its head.

OY!

Printers have gotten ridiculously inexpensive these days. Plus, you can always write it off as a business expense on next year's taxes.

Good luck!

For what it's worth... I just learned that you can sometimes get an "empty" inkjet cartridge to release some more ink by warming it with a hair dryer.
