The Good:
I had so many comments in my warm/cold contest that I couldn't choose just one. So, in the spirit of the subject matter, I decided to choose one cold and one warm winner.
Cold was easy. Water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit, so Coastergirl (my 32nd comment) wins for cold.
Warm was a little more subjective. Couldn't do boiling point; didn't have THAT many entries. Couldn't do 100 degrees either. But I picked what I consider the perfect temperature for a nice warm day - 72 degrees.
So our other winner is Lucette, whose comment came in at number 72!
Thanks to everyone for playing. Your comments kept things warm and sunny, in my corner of the world at least...
Another good:
I figured out what was going on yesterday. Someone at knitting group told me it was a valid link, but from an email, not a website, hence the tracking page. So someone obviously sent out a bulk mailing that had a click through link to my free valentine scarf pattern.
I had over 1500 page loads yesterday. Cool! Thank you, whoever you are...
More good:
McGregor's Garden is ready for a test knit. Any volunteers?
I am actually quite pleased at how this, my first sock design, and my first ever toe up sock, came out.
Lettuce edging didn't look right and I didn't need much elasticity in the cuff since the sock itself hugs the leg, so I went with a cute little eyelet variation.
Pay no attention to that

The bad:
Bad Cat! No tuna!
Now that just CAN'T be comfortable...
And the ugly:
I went to knitting group last night and took Moroccan Days.
You know how some dates go well from the start?
And others kind of fall apart on you?

Sorry about the bad behavior on the parts of the cat and Morocco. A discussion shall be had and action taken immediately.
The McGregor's are stunning and I can't wait to try it out!. The cat reminded me of children and the way they can sleep.

Arabian Nights is behaving herself quite well and I just finished the first row of the center panel! Yay me! The pattern delights me every day.
I would love to test knit the socks. I am an avid sock knitter and am in love with the pattern.
No! Ignore Donna Lee, she doesn't like Peter Rabbit. I, her loving, caring, daughter that she totally went behind during a bathroom break would love to test-knit the macgregor socks.
Oh I know the answer to your mystery. Threadbear Fibrearts was the one who linked to your pattern. When you said a bulk mailing, it clicked with me. By the way, that is a GREAT yarn store. They are huge and have a wonderful selection of everything!
The socks look great & the pattern is really fantastic - you did a great job in the design. As it's toe-up, I would love to test knit them as I am a toe-up sock knitting addict.
Looks like you have plenty of test knitters already... but the socks are indeed beautiful. So is the cat, in an extremely feline way.
