I lLOVE reading all your comments; so many neat ideas and traditions. Wish I could personally answer each and every one of 'em, but then I would have no time left for knitting.
There would be no new FREE cowl designs - coming next week...
No Bruce the Spruce...
No Tomten jacket for Conner...
Speakin' of which...
I am working hard on Spruce tonight - pics tomorrow plus some surprises!
Knitting, knitting, knitting, keep those fingers knitting...(to tune of Rawhide)
Later, peeps...
Just to spread the joy around, I will be giving away a free pattern (of your choice - Spruce excluded) to one commenter a day through Christmas, randomly chosen by Mrs. Claus (just me - don't get too excited).
I'll announce the previous day's winner in each post this month, If you are the winner, email me your preference at susanpandorf@comcast.net and I'll email your pattern right out to you.
Doesn't that sound like a lot of fun?
Yesterday's winner is: PenCraft. Email me, girl...
Now aren't you glad you left a comment?

Ah, winter in VT! snow, wind and downed trees, leading to driving 20 miles out of the way to go the 10 milse home!
hope I do win a pattern someday!
I love the knitting, knitting, etc. to Rawhide! Freezing cold and snowy in Nebraska. The perfect night for knitting.
Pass on the contest (since I won yesterday) Some other lucky knitter should win today!
Nebraska Knitter
Rawhide and knitting ... who would have thunk it? :) (Rawhide always reminds me of the Blues Brothers)
oh, cowl? must knit faster....
Keep on Knitting!!
The good thing about knitting is it helps you wait for Christmas. Little children should be taught to knit so they wouldn't fidgit so much, eh? Keep those hands busy and the needles moving! :-)
Free cowl pattern? Oh,do tell!!
You're such a marvel: beautiful patterns, giving us free patterns (cowl - yummmmm) and still trying to do your own Christmas knitting just like the rest of us. Thank you!
Love the holidays' Have to knit. No excuses.
I can't sing but like to listen to christmas carols. they send great messages.
A new cowl pattern? Hooray!
I've already finished my Christmas gift knitting and I still keep finding patterns I want to knit for people. Everyone from the entire extended family to the kid's teachers to their bus driver to their coaches to the mail delivery lady is getting handknit goodies this year. Thanks for the inspiration! :-)
Sooo looking forward to seeing Spruce! That tiny tidbit we've seen until now is just taunting me...
I can't wait to see how Bruce has grown!!
Suz
Seems the more I finish the more new projects I think to do-whats up with that!!
Isn't it amazing how the closer we get to something, especially something with a deadline, the shorter the time becomes and the more demands are placed upon that time. Knit on, fair knitrix, knit on.
Oh do stick with you knitting, we wan't those designs to keep coming! :-)
Hmmm...I need to be like a postage stamp. I'd be a lot more productive
no Christmas knitting this year. Last year was just hum-hoo received. Mittens and scarf for daughter and things for me. Kinda got off easy I think!
Perfect time of year to hunker down and relax to the even sounds of the needles! Knit aweigh...
waiting for the cowl....
greetings susanne
I'm sure we all would rather have you popping out knitting stuff, than answer our comments! :o)
Oh, I can't wait for a new design. I'm hoping to cast on stonehenge soon for my BIL (I realized I needed to get him superwash, and I had non-superwash). I'm also thinking of modifying the pattern for a hat, if you don't mind (and if I have time before Christmas)...nothing like a matched set. Your designs are so amazing, I can't wait to see the rest (especially becuase I think some of the stash sale goodies I snagged might make a perfect Bruce the Spruce for me...)
I tend to sing the "Just keep knitting, just keep knitting" ala Dory from "Finding Nemo". And since I got paid today, I think Christmas present to me is the 2009 package so I can get Bruce the Spruce too! If I haven't said before, your designs are beautiful and amazing - thank you for sharing them!
Can't wait for photos of Spruce!
if only it always was that simple to know when you get "there". Sometimes people still stick to things though they have long passed where they wanted to get ...
oh oh oh a free cowl pattern now thats something to look forward to :)
WOOOHOOO! Thanks Susan.
Hi, this is my first time reading your blog. You have some beautiful patterns. I followed a link from Ravelry to find your blog. Must go read some more of your blog now . . .
Me, me, me! I love your patterns! and the stash sales.
P.S. I have a fuzzy the wonder blanket at my house too. He seems to think I can knit with him sitting on the needles and yarn.
Knitting, spinning, knitting, spinning! Keeping busy!
I love your designs. You are so talented!
