Busy, Busy, Busy!

"A bee is never as busy as it seems; it's just that it can't buzz any slower."
- Kim Hubbard

Have been trying to get more of Spruce done to show you today, but will have to wait til tomorrow. Just too many irons in the fire.

Busy, busy, busy...

Till then, here is some yarn pron for y'all to drool over

today's delivery from Santa/UPS
top row: 4 skeins Berroco Ultra Alpaca Light for fairisle design & 5 skeins Misti Alpaca for purple scarf & red cowl
bottom row: 1 skein toshsock in ink for fairisle (with milk & mourning dove I already have in stash) & 4 more skeins Berroco Ultra Alpaca Light for a different fairisle design

And a picture of my New Year's Eve outfit

gonna be a lace wimple - can't you tell? the yarn is Artyarns Silk Rhapsody Glitter.

A gratuitous shot of fuzzy butt, the wonder blanket

makes it re-e-a-a-l-l-y hard to see the chart!

And definitive proof I have gone off my rocker!

like you didn't already know...

Just to spread the joy around, I will be giving away a free pattern (of your choice - Spruce excluded) to one commenter a day through Christmas, randomly chosen by Mrs. Claus (just me - don't get too excited).

I'll announce the previous day's winner in each post this month, If you are the winner, email me your preference at susanpandorf@comcast.net and I'll email your pattern right out to you.

Doesn't that sound like a lot of fun?

Yesterday's winner is: Diane in NC. Email me, girl...

Now aren't you glad you left a comment?

I like the furry one!! Even if they are distracting and take up the knitting view.

Wow!! You will look gorgeous New Year's Eve! I thought I was lucky when the USPS delivered my Taste of Home recipes for 2009 today, but your UPS order is fantastic.

That should be a lovely New Year's Eve garment. Yummy yarn!

oooh! a lace wimple-I can hardly wait! I am typing this around my big fat cat that has newly adopted the computer desk as his favorite nap spot. Cats! At least he's gotten away from the yarn!

Such pretty yarn for the whimple - pictures must be posted!

Great looking New Years' outfit, though, unless you're staying in, I assume there is more to it than the wimple.

Your New Year's Eve color is beautiful. Can't wait to see your FO.

LOL My cat does the same thing! What is it with them needing to lay directly on what we're trying to look at?

You are really busy! I like the Artyarn. I have something like that in lilac in my stash. Too precious to knit with it, well until I find the right pattern that is. :o)

I like the yarn ball with feet--almost as cute as the kitty! Perhaps chalk up the goofy quasi yarn critter to the giddiness of your recent yarn goody box. Looks like 2010 will bring some nifty new Sunflower Designs!

Wow- nice haul! I keep talking about Christmas traditions so here is another one: pecan balls. My mom would make them after Thanksgiving and dole them out throughout the season- she never made enough!

Love the colors for your outfit. I hope there is more to it! LOL

I also have a fuzzy that likes to help with the knitting.

Lovely yarn. Don't you just love alpaca? I have some Isager Alpaca waiting to be made into a scarf - after Christmas.

You're smart to get all that matching yarn for Fair Isle projects. I'm trying to work from stash and don't have more than one color in anything. :(

love the Misti Alpaca- Alpaca is my favorite fiber to knit with

That lace wimple is going to be stunning! I love the colour, and it looks so soft. Will you show us the FO?

Hmmm... add another 10 pounds, spray-paint kitty black and you have my lap-warmer! Not that I'm complaining much when it's cold...

I am laughing at your tag, "snarky humor". I love that!

Sooooo, if I were to win a pattern I would gift it to my knitting friend, Darlene, aka: knitterbeader. Since, her blog is how I found yours.

Merry Christmas!

So much yarn so little time! But somehow you seem to manage to get a lot of things done even if you do have many irons in the fire.
I am very excited to see what the wimple will look like, right now I am considering a few cowls on Ravelry I have completely fallen for them. Happy knitting on yours and please do let us see what it looks like, maybe even what it looked like on you on New Year's.

Oh, that Artyarns Glitter is fabulous! Can't wait to see the finished product!

What a whirlwind your mind contains. It gives me pleasure to watch you come up with new designs and to see the inspirations you get from your environment.

I think you'll look lovely in the blue sparkly yarn. Might be a bit cold, though.

I wish the delivery people brought me such lovely yarn.

You are going to be the belle of the ball for New Year's Eve with that beautimous wimple. I can't wait to see it finished, love the yarn. You do have such good taste. Fluffy butt is just doing her job to the best of her abilities. She would probably like to help you with your designs as well.
Hugs and Happy knitting,

You know, it's obvious you have a special love with yarn in the pieces you create but it's fun to see it in different ways, too. Love the pics.

I love when my cat does that exact thing. And then gives me "the look" when I attempt to move the instructions so I can read them.

I like wool that's ready to follow you anywhere...
Cats will be cats!
Happy Knitting.

I'm just amazed you managed to keep the furball off the sales ad. Both cats I'm around think any newspaper or the like are for them to lay on and shred.

So is that fair isle you're designing? That would be awesome!

Gotta love the mail and UPS guys. I've always said I could live anywhere there is internet and UPS delivery!
