Taize (again)

"Still your mind in me, still yourself in me, and without a doubt you shall be united with me, Lord of Love, dwelling in your heart."
- Bhagavad Gita

TAIZE
$4

SIZE:
10 inches wide by 72 inches long

MATERIALS:

3 skeins (600 yds.) Fibre Co. Canopy Fingering
Color: Wild Ginger
Size 4 (US) needles
cable and tapestry needles

GAUGE:

7 stitches = 1 inch

SKILL LEVEL:
beginning lace knitter
written directions

The pattern is so simple, a mere 6 stitches wide and 8 rows deep. But the resulting surface texture is wonderful.

I added a delicate picot edging and a simple lace border on the ends.

All in all, she is a lovely little aperitif.

Quiet...

understated...

restful...

repetitive...

comforting...

over there on the sidebar...

you know what to do...

I've wanted to knit some of your beautiful lace scarves/shawls for some time but don't think my skills are quite there. I'm taking you at your word on "Taize" that it's a beginner lace project so I've ordered the pattern and am ordering the same yarn you used. I'm so excited to get started!!!! Maybe this will move me along to some of the more complicated designs.
