My original yardage estimates for MOROCCAN DAYS/ARABIAN NIGHTS were too low.
I weighed the leftovers to determine how much yarn I had used. I should have weighed the finished piece. Kim is always nothing but generous, in life as in yardage, and I must have underestimated the size of the skein I was working from,
I now weigh skeins upon receipt to ensure this does not happen again. It was a beginners mistake, due to my inexperience.
I BEG YOUR FORGIVENESS AND WILL DO WHATEVER IS IN MY POWER TO MAKE THIS RIGHT.

The first thing I thought when I read this is - people make mistakes. You are so talented and obviously care very much that those who see your designs are happy with them.

It never would have occurred to me that a skein would be a different size. Is it knitter gauge striking? I was in a KAL recently where about 30 people of 270 ran short of a limited dyed yarn, and when they checked - not on gauge.
Don't you worry for one moment! mistakes happen and I LOVE YOUR WORK!!! please keep creating :)

Don't worry so much! People make mistakes all the time. Usually my first mistake of the day is looking in the mirror.
Skeins of yarn vary widely. I've seldom had one skein measure or weigh exactly what the label said it did.
That said, please, please, please keep designing. Take a few deep breaths, a sip or two of your beverage of choice, and enjoy the weekend. Monday will be available to handle the problems.

Did anyone die? No, so it's fixeable. It's knitting not brain surgery and slip ups don't kill. Go take a walk in the garden and breath deeply - it is not the end of the world although it may feel like it at the moment.
